Our Most Amazing Transformation to Date!
:: Morrocan serenity in the Tarzana Hills ::
This is the ULTIMATE before-and-after project. Our client, a mother of two, approached 22 INTERIORS with the task of making her living space soothing, happy, and of course beautiful. She was open to changing up everything, including paint - and the results are STUNNING. We couldn't stop staring at the room once we were done and she is thrilled. There's nothing like creating a space for someone who appreciates the change and sees how physical space most certainly affects your mood and behavior.
BEFORE : LIVING ROOM
She told us she and her kids NEVER sit or hang in this room. We saw the opportunity and were determined to change that.
AFTER AHH : LIVING ROOM
The first thing we did was PAINT - using Farrow & Ball's Pointing for the walls and ceiling, the room already looked transformed. Next, our palette of natural woods, creams & whites, and a bit of blues gave it that comfy hotel lounge vibe.
We found a beautiful coffee table at Zentique, added some antique books, and of course some seasonal fresh flowers.
We turned to our friends at The Foundation Shop for our custom furniture needs. This vibrant turquoise daybed is set up for curling up and reading a great book by the windows.
Keeping in line with our goal of making this space fun for the family, this corner was an opportunity for a game table. Our client's 6 year old and 8 year old have been seriously playing chess since it arrived. Rug is Serena & Lily.
Opposite the chess table, a hammock swing - of course! One thing I love doing is indoor swing chairs. As furniture, they provide movement, and swinging inside is incredibly soothing. Like being a baby again!
BEFORE : ENTRY AND HALL
The color of the walls was killing me....this space needed much love and attention.
AFTER AHH : ENTRY AND HALL
We kept the console table, added a cathedral mirror and created a family gallery wall using a variety of wooden and white frames. Success!
THANK YOU for looking! Warmest,
