OH HELLO SAN FRANCISCO!

Beyond thrilled to have completed a project in San Francisco. The energy in Northern California is so completely different and it was fun to see how the North lives. Our clients, a family of four, have a gorgeous home built in 1914 (!) that is charming beyond, much like the family. Great character and a great location in Noe Valley, this was a pleasure to work on.

A gorgeous piece of art welcomes guest in the entry. The bold colors against the wood credenza and white walls is so beautiful.

First room on right is the formal living room. Our clients love color and recognize how a bold fun red could really bring a room to life.

We sourced the Holly Addi art above the mantel from a Gregg Irby Gallery in Atlanta.

Moving down the hall gets you into the heart of the home - the kitchen, dining, den, all with views and access to the very lush and beautiful backyard.

Pillow below sourced from a trip to San Miguel de Allende (highly highly recommend a long weekend there). Loving the pop of yellow here too. Branches are ALWAYS a good idea.

A favorite light of ours hangs in the dining room - it's Herculum by Moooi. It's like delicate futuristic leaves light up your space.

Through the window in the dining, you can see the stairwell to the downstairs guest bedroom and playroom/den. This family has the most amazing thing - a set of five family values that they instill upon their kids. As a way to honor those values we commissioned Shana Frase to create water colors of each of them. Something they can see from their dinner table each and every night. Each piece is a different watercolor.

The kitchen needed stools that were wipeable but funky - we picked the NERD stool by Muuto.

Moving upstairs to the master bedroom.

Such a pretty, bright space already but we added the chair and table and reframed the family heirloom painting to make it feel more contemporary like the rest of the house.

Last but not least, the beautiful den in the attic. We are still working on paint colors (there's a Drikolor paint I'm obsessed with having in there) but still wanted to include it because of the VIEWS. More pictures when that's ready (our not-so-subtle-client-nudge).

San Francisco was so much fun to work in. I caught up with old friends - surprised one at his restaurant even - and was so invigorated by working in a new environment. Stay tuned for more projects from up north!

Thank you for looking and reading.

Enjoy the weekend!
