Ravishing in Rolling Hills Estates

This SUPER fabulous and sassy client approached us about designing her great room and master bedroom. She was not shy in immediately letting us know that we're not the first interior designers she's worked with. We were immediately energized by the competition and felt the need to be the BEST of them all. Game ON! The great room was somewhat of a challenge seating-wise because it's a long, rectangular space with plenty of windows and a fireplace that splits it in two. There's also a large flat screen television stationed on a wall by the entry - so not the focal point of the room, but still needs to be viewable from the seating area. We designed this custom built double sided lounge sofa so that one side faces the television, while the other side faces the kitchen and rest of the great room. The color scheme was somewhat determined by our client who adores whites and blues, and wanted her home to be as clean and beautiful as some of the gorgeous hotels she's stayed at through her travels around the world.

YES! The Cameroon Juju hat above the fireplace - we've been dying to use one in a project and it does NOT disappoint. The color! The texture ! The feathers! The organic shape! It's perfection.

Moving along to the master bedroom....our client was at first slightly hesitant about our suggestion of the navy blue sisel wallpaper, but once in, she and her husband love it. My personal mission is to get them to do the rest of the room.....not just an accent wall....stay tuned on that. To add an element of the unexpected, we chose to do two different nightstands. The room is large and there's plenty of room for a desk. I love the writing desk as a nightstand in general, and it couldn't look any better than it does in this room. The zebra upholstered brass chair completes the look.

Although we wanted more floor coverings, our client really loves her hardwood floors so she asked we leave as much floor open as possible. However, for the seating in front of the fireplace, we had to do something so she agreed to let us do an organic sheepskin rug ....it's delicious to the touch and the soft, thick texture really create that cozy, fireplace sexy feel. The white linen chairs are modern in shape but very comfortable.

Overall this was another super fun project to work on and we all LOVE the way it turned out. Enjoy the rest of your summer and thank you for looking! Warmest, Lucie
